Named after and established by the late Professor Emeritus Dr. Jamil Jreisat, this
scholarship rewards outstanding academic performances by graduate students in the
MPA and GCPM programs. |
In memory of the late Professor Dr. Joan Pynes, this scholarship rewards outstanding
academic performances by graduate students in the MPA and GCNM programs, with preference
given to students interested in pursuing a career in nonprofit administration or NGO's. |
Named after and established by the former MURP Program Director Dr. Mark Hafen, this
privately funded scholarship provides support to graduate students in the MURP program
through funds raised from generous donors, with preference given to diverse students
from historically underrepresented or marginalized groups. |

Named after and established by Mark Bentley—one of the state's top land use lawyers—this
scholarship provides support to emerging planners in the graduate MURP program. |
In memory of Professor Emeritus Dr. J. Ellis Blanton's son—James E. Blanton III—this
scholarship provides support to MPA and MURP graduate student veterans who honorably
served in a branch of the U.S. military or National Guard. |
Named after and established by Julie Gillespie—MPA alumna and the former Associate
Vice President of University Development—this scholarship provides support to graduate
students in the MPA program, with preference given to female students. |
Established by the former Cyber Florida Staff Director Dr. Ronald Sanders, this scholarship
provides support to undergraduate students in the Public Service & Leadership minor,
with a demonstrated commitment to a career in public service. |

This fund supports LIP students working in the offices of state and local legislators
or nonprofit, think-tank, or policy agencies. These groups are actively involved in
Tampa Bay's economic development, transportation, environmental protection, education,
health, social welfare, or public finance. |
This fund supports TIP students relocating to Tallahassee for the 60-day legislative
session. Each student is paired with an elected official or organization actively
involved in Florida's economic development, growth management, transportation, environmental
protection, education, health, or social welfare. |
This initiative supports the School's efforts to inform the public policy process
in a constructive and non-partisan manner—as well as its broader academic research
and experiential learning efforts—via annual and ad hoc public opinion surveys focusing
on local, state, and national policy issues. |
This award is given to non-elected municipal, county, state, or federal employees
who—through their careers or a specific innovation—have helped solve a problem for
Florida residents and improved public service in the state. The award honors the creative
ideas and money-saving efficiencies people expect from government at all levels. |
