Outdoor Recreation

Riverfront Park is accessible for blind and deaf patrons. RFP is a wonderful retreat for the senses: whether it’s kayaking on the river in one of many types of kayaks, the smell of flowers and rain on the hiking trails, the sounds of various birds on the riverbank, or the touch and feel of nature in the open areas.

OREC (Outdoor Recreation) provides Kayak Skill Workshops to any individual seeking to learn or improve their kayaking skills in an instructor led, accessible and controlled environment.

Our Adventure Trip Program handles reasonable requests for accommodations and strongly desires to include individuals living with physical disabilities to join us on one of our trips where our trip leaders will work one on one to help create the best possible experience.

Our Challenge Course Program is developing new and innovative ways to build teams, build growth, and challenge ourselves regardless of physical ability.

Our Outdoor Resource Center has the knowledge base to help outfit individuals for their own adventures, as well as the ability and tools to help repair most any manually wheeled transportation whether it’s a bicycle or a wheelchair.
