Interdisciplinary CAS team helps identify new urban tree canopy locations in Tampa

Dr. Shawn Landry and Dr. Rebecca Zarger are two Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV College of Arts and Sciences faculty contributing to the City of Tampa’s tree canopy study. Landry and Zarger are tasked with identifying specific tree planting locations throughout the city and conducting outreach with residents in priority locations.

Dharsh Saravana, an environmental science and policy student and vice president of the Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV Agrarian Club, has found their calling in environmental stewardship with hopes to one day address urban food resilience, diversity of food systems, and food sovereignty for vulnerable populations in urban spaces.
