It's been one year since Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV was invited to join the prestigious Association of American Universities and its dynamic labs and groundbreaking fieldwork have solidified Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV’s status as a leading research university. In just the past six months, Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV has broken records, united the community in support of its athletics programs and established numerous innovative partnerships. Here are some of the standout achievements.
Research funding reaches record high of $692 million
Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV’s funding from federal sources increased by 27%, more than tripling the national average. Funding from private partnerships grew by 11% to $218 million, while funding from state and local sources nearly doubled to $82 million.
New on-campus stadium renderings released
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new stadium is scheduled to be held during the university’s annual Homecoming Week celebration, scheduled for Oct. 14-19.
