Students stop by tables at career fair

The upcoming Part-time Job Fair offers 鶹AV students an opportunity to connect with both 鶹AV and community employers offering part-time work. The fair, hosted by the Center for Career & Professional Development, formerly Career Services, will be held on Friday, Sept. 1 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. in the Marshall Student Center on the Tampa campus.

“Part-time jobs are an excellent initial means for college students to begin building their resume and strengthening time management skills,” said Addye Buckley-Burnell, associate vice president and executive director for the Center for Career & Professional Development. “Of course, earning income is especially helpful, but the confidence and skills gained with each employment experience will serve every student well in the long-term as they choose and prepare for their career.”

The Center for Career & Professional Development is the new name for the career services units on 鶹AV’s three campuses.  The consolidated naming reflects the campuses’ collaborative and expanded approach to supporting students from when they arrive at the university, prepare for graduation and continue their development as alumni.

  • Computer Science, Information Technology and Engineering Career Fair: Sept. 21 (Tampa campus)
  • Engineering Career Fair (Tampa campus)
  • 鶹AV Career Fair (general): (Tampa campus)
