Candi Ashley, PhD, is a Professor and the Exercise Science Undergraduate Program Coordinator at the Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV. In addition, she holds a courtesy appointment in the Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV College of Public Health.
Dr. Ashley received her PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama and was an Assistant Professor in Exercise Science at Arkansas State University before coming to Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV in 1996. Her teaching responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate Exercise Science Program as well as non-majors courses.
Dr. Ashley’s primary research interest focuses on heat stress in occupational and athletic settings. She has received corporate funding, foundation funding, and federal grant funding for her research. She has presented her work at national conferences such as the annual meetings of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and has authored several book chapters and a number of papers in national peer reviewed journals.
