Dr. Brittany is a knowledgeable expert in behavioral health, dedicated to making a positive impact and driving meaningful change. With an extensive background in mental health services over the last 18 years and a commitment to excellence, she has earned a multitude qualifications and achievements throughout her professional journey.
As a trained practitioner in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), along with certification in addictions, Dr.
Brittany brings a wealth of expertise to her role as a licensed practitioner across
three states.
Dr. Brittany is committed to expanding access to mental health care and addressing
challenges within the field. Her dynamic lectures reflect her dedication to education,
awareness, and improving mental health outcomes veterans, children, and individuals
living with mental health disorders.
She serves on multiple boards and committees focusing on substance use treatment,
child welfare, and mental health services at both local and state levels. Dr. Brittany
is a member of the Statewide Dependency Court Improvement Panel (DCIP), serves as
the current President of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental
Illness Pinellas (NAMI), and is a member of the Florida NASW Licensure Committee.
Dr. Brittany’s efforts to improve mental health services have been recognized through
features in reputable publications such as the Tampa Bay Times and The Weekly Challenger.
In 2024, Dr. Brittany earned numerous awards including a certificate of appreciation
from the 6th Judicial Court for her work with Boys Court, the Community Hero Award
from local Non-Profit G3 Life Applications, named one of Tampa Bay's 2023 women to
Watch, and the Leading Change Award from Â鶹ÃÛÌÒAV School of Social Work.
Dr. Brittany earned her BSW and MSW from Florida State University and her Doctor of
Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Beyond her professional commitments, she enjoys fitness, reading, and solo travel,
accompanied by the delightful company of her Mini Schnauzer, Herschel.
