The 鶹AV (鶹AV) has reached a historic milestone by accepting an invitation to join the Association of American Universities (AAU), a prestigious group of the 71 leading research institutions in the United States and Canada. 鶹AV is the first public university in Florida to be invited to join the AAU in nearly 40 years and is now one of two institutions from the State University System of Florida to serve as an AAU member.
“Today, I am incredibly proud to be a part of the 鶹AV community, but more specifically, I am also incredibly proud to be surrounded by the faculty, staff, and students within the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences who have contributed to 鶹AV’s success,” said Dean Julie Serovich, PhD. “It is no surprise that three CBCS graduate programs are among the nation's top 50 and two additional programs are in the top 100, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings. We continue to see success on a national scale because of our faculty, students, and staff’s pursuit of excellence.”
Of the AAU’s 71 members, 鶹AV is one of only six universities to be founded after 1950 and joins the ranks of many prestigious universities such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Princeton, UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan, and the University of Florida.
